What do we do?
We utilize commercial divers and a series of large pumps to remove the organic sediment, muck, sludge, leaves and aquatic vegetation restoring your body of water back to its natural bottom.
What is muck?
Every pond is in a dying process the moment it is created. Leaves, twigs, weeds, and other organic matter fall to the bottom of the pond and decompose gradually filling it in with “muck”. Muck contains toxic gas that leads to fish kills as well as harboring nutrients that lead to excessive plant and algae growth.
Depending on the elevation our pumps can pump the sludge up to 800ft away. When possible, we try to “open discharge” the material somewhere on the property. It comes out in a liquid state and does not always “stack” very well, depending on the density. The water will find its way to the “low” spot. Open land such as woods or a nearby field are great options.
When open discharge is not a viable option - we can utilize a geotextile dewatering tube. When dried, you simply cut the bag open. It makes great fertilizer, and you can leave it where it sits, seed it, or haul it away. This is an additional cost, but regardless of the situation, we can make a solution for you!
